THINGS TO DO - ATLANTIC CITY ATTRACTIONS

There's a lot of interesting and fun things to do while vacationing in Ventnor and the Atlantic City area.  The innkeepers of The Come Wright Inn Bed and Breakfast have the knowledge, experience and expertise to help you plan your stay in Atlantic City. The following are suggested activities as you contemplate your vacation.  Atlantic City is a four-season seaside resort with year round activities.  With so much to see and do, we recommend a stay of several nights.

Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk

The Walk of Atlantic City hosts about 100 stores that are well known with lots of national name brands that are average and a little upscale in offerings. Though mostly apparel stores yet offering almost an equal opportunity at shopping for both men and women, there are also several restaurants and clubs. The Walk is open daily seven days a week from 10am to 9pm.  This is a nice way to spend the day walking around finding things you didn’t know you needed and then enjoying lunch at one of these well known restaurants: Applebee's, Starbucks, Cave Crepe Café, Stewart's Root Beer, Subway, Ruth's' Chris Steak, Ruby Tuesday and the AC Diner

The Quarter

The Quarter in the Tropicano Casino offers upscale boutiques, dining, shopping and entertainment. The main hall is a vibrantly colored three-story streetscape with Latin bands, salsa dances and palm trees.  This is the place to experience what was once Old Havana in the day.  The Quarter hosts several world class restaurants and non-stop entertainment.  For a unique dining experience The Quarter has more than 20 restaurants to choose from, here's a few of our favorites:

Carmine's originated the often-imitated family-style Italian restaurant concept. Carmine's has consistently received glowing reviews from every rating guide. Dine at Carmine's restaurant in Atlantic City, 609-572-9300.

The Cuba Libre offers an authentic Cuban restaurant experience, from the classic restoration of a 1940s Havana street scene to the antique mahogany and oak handcrafted bars. The menu uniquely combines contemporary Cuban cuisine and traditional dishes, always flavorful and savory, but not generally spicy. call 609-348-6700

The Palm is renowned for its A-List celebrity regulars and caricature adorned walls and for prime steaks, enormous lobsters and traditional Italian dishes. Known as the ultimate celebrity hang-out, the Palm has garnered the Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence award for its wine list and is known as the critics choice as The Classic American Steak House.

Steel Pier is back and promises to be as big as it was in days past.  The nostalgia of diving horses, exciting acts and amusements is bringing visitors and the modern day amusements and thrills are keep them coming back. With 24 rides, games and prize wheels, a food court and free admission, the Steel Pier has a lot to offer in the way of family entertainment.  A custom made, double-decker carousel, fashioned by Italian craftsmen, features hand-painted scenes from Atlantic City's past.

The Noyes Museum of Art

Building upon the vision of founders Fred W. and Ethel Noyes, it is the mission of The Noyes Museum of Art to provide enriching exhibitions, educational programs and care for the collection for all its beneficiaries.  Opened in 1983, The Noyes Museum of Art was the vision of local entrepreneurs Fred W. and Ethel (Lingelbach) Noyes, Jr. who were avid art and antique collectors. Fred was also an academically trained artist and produced many works which reflect his love of southern New Jersey's natural features. His art and personal collection of vintage bird decoys are now a part of the Museum’s vast permanent collection of 19th to 21st century fine and folk art.

The Museum boasts a serene lakeside setting adjacent to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge and is located minutes from downtown Atlantic City and dining and shopping at Historic Smithville Village.

Historic Smithville Village

There is so much to do and see. Visit Historic Smithville and the Village Greene today and start a family tradition. Our village is open every day of the year except Christmas. It's a wonderful place to shop and stroll. Enjoy the views, cafes, restaurants and shoppes. Find a one of a kind gift or just relax and have a cup of coffee.
