Our rooms have unusual names in that they have been named after the manors mentioned in Jane Austen's beloved novel "Pride and Prejudice". Remember Mr. Darcy? You will surely love the Pemberley Room! The Longbourn has feminine touches as only Elizabeth Bennett's home would. After all, she shared it with her four sisters! Rosings is away from everyone else as it should be for it was named after Mr. Darcy's wealthy aunt's estate (Lady Catherine de Bourgh). The Netherfield with its garden view reminded us of the estate where Mr. Bingley enjoyed the outdoors so much. Each room has its own unique flavor of decor.
Our sleeping chambers are beautifully decorated in the Victorian style but all have modern conveniences, each with it's own private bath, air conditioning, reading lamps, television, DVD players, and some with gas fireplaces. Guests have full use of a reading and video library, use of puzzles, board games and chess board. A pianoforte made of Russian Rosewood is found in the dining room.Wireless internet is available.
We are sure our five accommodations of rooms and suites as well as the entire Inn will exceed your expectations. Choose one any of our accommodations, each with private baths, cable television with DVD players and full amenities.
The Pemberley Room has a canoped- covered headboard attached to a king size bed in one of the largest bedrooms within the Inn. It has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. For cooler months, there is a gas heater fireplace that encourages a romantic atmosphere. This room is only available if the Pemberley Suite is not occupied. There is no access to the private deck from the Pemberley room. You must call to book this room.
The Pemberley Suite has all that is mentioned above with the one bedroom containing a king size bed as well as another room used generally for a lovely sitting room with access to the private deck. This room can be converted into an extra bedroom to sleep two more guests if needed and is known as the Hunsford room. (This Pemberley Suite is a good choice for smokers because of access to the outside deck).
Please specify which you prefer when booking the Pemberley whether you prefer the entire suite (which can accommodate up to four guests) with private deck access or just the Pemberley room with king bed and private bath.
The Rosings Suite consists of two separate rooms on a private floor with a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub/shower. The one bedroom contains a king size bed while the other room is generally a lovely sitting room with an ocean view but it can be converted into a bedroom to sleep two more guests if needed. This accommodation of the Inn is a nice "getaway from it all" especially for a longer stay.
The Netherfield Suite is one of our larger bedrooms with a queen size bed and has a private bath with new walk-in shower. This bathroom has a sitting area that overlooks our garden.
The Longbourn room is beautifully decorated with butterflies and flowers with a canope netting over the queen size bed and this room actually has the largest private bathroom within the Inn with a tub/shower.
